Tom Van Pernis is an Associate Professor and Program Coordinator for the Plastics Engineering Technology program at Ferris State University. He teaches Advanced Injection Molding and various plastics engineering technology courses. Through more than 20 years of injection molding experience and teaching hundreds of students and industry professionals, he understands the critical concepts that your employees need to know. 

Tom holds BS, MBA, and MS degrees from Ferris State University, Cornerstone University, and UMass Lowell. In 2017 Tom formed Van Pernis Plastics Solutions, LLC to help organizations develop and grow their employees. Tom also runs custom training courses through Guiness Technologies and Ferris State University. These hands-on injection molding training courses are often funded through grants provided by Michigan's Going PRO Talent Fund.
